LIBERTYVILLE, IL – January 30, 2009 – Marlene Galante was recently appointed to Chief Client Officer at Physicians Interactive. Previously, Ms. Galante led the Professional Services and Production teams at Physicians Interactive for nine years.
With over 33 years of significant contributions as a pharmaceutical and healthcare information management executive, Ms. Galante brought her industry experience to Physicians Interactive in 2000, and has been instrumental to the growth of the business. With her team, Ms. Galante has been responsible for the conception, development and implementation of more than 1,000 PI interactive programs in the annual revenue stream. Delivering world class customer service, she has guided the Creative, Editorial and Program Management teams, along with significant Sales strategy and Financial control responsibility within the business.
Recently named by her management as the “heart and soul of Physicians Interactive”, Ms. Galante today leads the Sales and Account Management teams and holds responsibility for the ongoing evolution and management of the PI Product and Account strategies, including partner, client and stakeholders in the healthcare profession. She is currently working on expanding sales opportunities, while vetting a new product pipeline with her colleagues for a rapidly changing marketplace.
Ms. Galante is a seasoned and expert team leader and eMarketing professional, having served the pharmaceutical, chemical, and managed care industries in a variety of capacities for over three decades. Prior to joining PI, Ms. Galante held drug information and regulatory management positions as an employee and contract consultant for several top pharmaceutical and healthcare companies including: Searle Pharmaceuticals, the American Hospital Supply Corporation, Baxter Healthcare, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Knoll (Boots) Pharmaceuticals and Coram Healthcare. She also continues as owner/operator of Information Assets, an independent consulting venture to the pharmaceutical industry, which she founded in 1991.
Ms. Galante holds a Masters of Science in Molecular Genetics, a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, each from the University of Illinois. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Management from the American Management Association, and has been acknowledged by a number of national organizations including Who’s Who among notable women in management, information technology and consulting.
